Salmon Training Treats

Ingredients

1 -1 4.75 oz. can Pink Salmon
2 cups Flour
2 eggs

Preheat oven to 350. Dump salmon with liquid (do not drain) into a bowl. Add eggs and mix. Add flour and mix.
Spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray and dump the dough mixture onto the sheet. Sprinkle some flour on top and on your hands to keep the dough from sticking as you press the dough flat with your hands. Flatten to about 1/4 " thickness. It doesn't have to reach to the corners since we will just cut it up as it is.

Bake for 25-35 min, depending on whether you prefer it moister or crunchier.

Remove from the oven. Use a spatula to lift it off the cookie sheet before cooling, otherwise it may stick. You can let it cool on a rack or on the cookie sheet once you've lifted it. Once cooled, divide the Salmon Treats into desired portions, bag and freeze. I use a pizza cutter to quickly cut into squares that you can make as large or small as you like.

Tuna Training Treats

2 - 6 oz cans tuna in water, do not drain
2 eggs
1 to 1-1/2 cups flour
Dash garlic powder
Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 350. Whirl tuna and eggs in food processor or blender. Add small amounts of water, if needed, to help liquefy tuna. (I'm lazy so I just mix tuna & eggs in a bowl with a fork. My dogs have never complained that it's a little "chunky") Pour into bowl. Add flour and a few sprinkles of garlic powder. Consistency should be like cake mix. Pour into a greased or sprayed pam. (I use Pam spray on a cookie sheet). Spread out to about 1/2" thickness and sprinkle with lots of Parmesan cheese.

Bake about 15 minutes, or until texture is like putty.

Cool and slice into small squares. (A pizza cutter or scissors works great for this)

I put enough tuna treats for a class or training session into small freezer bags and store in the freezer. On the day of class, just pull out one of the baggies and they are thawed by the time you get to class.
